syslog connector mapping of "su succeeded" events?

Auditors are asking us about the data fields sourceUserName and destinationUserName for "su succeeded" UNIX events received via syslog.

My assumption was that sourceUserName = the username that issued the su command, and destinationUserName is the username being su'd TO.

Is that correct?

Hi,

I took a look at our parser that generates the su succeeded event name.  It appears that your assumption is correct, sourceUserName seems is the user that initiated the command, and destinaitonUserName is the username being su'd to.

Tammy
