Provide option to select number of LGs in each cloud location

At the moment in scenario "distribution" section, we can only select the locations and distribution of load.

In this current setup, for instance when I run a 1000 user test with cloud LG location selected to just 1 location (say Ireland), the tool kept on provisioning only 1 LG.  But during the run, I kept getting LG cpu alerts and the TPS / Response times observed in the test suffered significantly as if the application had a bottleneck.  But when I changed the LG distribution to multiple locations (ex: Ireland, UK, Netherlands) forcing the tool to provision multiple LGs, for the same scenario I started seeing higher TPS, better response times, very few or No LG alerts.

So, I think like some of the other tools in market (ex: Neoload), there should be an option for the tester to be able to select how many LGs he would like to use for the scenario per Location (** if the default limit is to allow only 10 IPs/LGs, atleast the option of selecting up to 10 LGs should be there).

This would help remove some noise in troubleshooting LG issues or bad performance reported in tests with the current LG provisioning limitations.

Madhu

There are several solutions we can apply to the issue you have raised,  distributing the load among multiple regions is not a best practice that I would suggest to follow, you can reach out to me directly if you wish to discuss further.

We have this option in LoadRunner, why not in StormRunner!?
