Work with data files using LRC public APIs

0 Votes

As part of our CI/CD pipeline, we need to execute the load test against specific urls. The url is generated post the CD phase in the pipeline.

We use git to store our load test scripts and also use VTS & LRC data files. We are looking at means to pass the url information to the load test without having to update the git repo.

An API access to the data files uploaded in LRC will be a good feature to handle such dynamic data sets.

Thanks,

Hi,

Thanks for submitting the idea!

Regarding "execute the load test against specific urls.", LRC has Public APIs to allow you to dynamically change "additional attributes" in RTS (/projects/{projectId}/scripts/{scriptId}/rts/additional-attributes). If the urls are defined in RTS as additional attributes, it'll be a good fit.

Could you please elaborate "An API access to the data files uploaded in LRC"? What APIs do you want to have? (upload data file, associate data file with scripts etc.?)

The URL value needs to be updated for more than one script i.e for all the scripts within the load test that needs to be executed through the pipeline.

For the data files, we would like to have option to update an existing data file - entire file should also be okay. The file upload & association can be done during the load test setup.

Thanks,
