Limit number of future timeslot reservations per tester.

Idea ID 2827924

Limit number of future timeslot reservations per tester.

Customer wants to set a limit on user's ability to reserve 1 or 2 future timeslots maximum. Since the users (Testers) are reserving multiple timeslots in MF PC and there's tendency to waste or not use these reservations.

Customer wants to limit the number of future timeslots to just 1 or 2 to prevent users from monopolizing timeslots and controllers.

If the tester tried to reserve a third slot MFPC won't allow them to or produce and error message.

Currently there is no Workaround to manually find and delete timeslots.

The present timeslot feature in MFPC either allows users to make a reservation or not.

Currently testers can book unlimited number of timeslots. There is no limit. In addition if we remove users ability to make reservation it prevents them from running tests.

Hence it is required to have an option globally or per project setting to prevent users from making multiple timeslots and keep under a set number like only 2 future timeslots.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR:  To limit timeslot reservation per user in PC.

Would be great to have this as a global project setting. From 0 - 5 or similar for Auto and separately for Manual timeslots. And 1 - 30 days for each.  E,g,:

Automatic timeslot limit. 1 - 5 slots (n to n slots)

Automatic timeslot days in advance. 1 - 30 days (n to n days)

Manual timeslot limit 0 - 5 slots (where 0 disables all Manual timeslots)

Manual timeslot days in advance. 1 - 30 days (where days limits days in advance a timeslot can be booked
