Ajax TruClient IE9 script: load generators need IE9?

Jump to solution

Can you please tell me if it is necessary to have Internet Explorer 9 installed on my loadgenerators if I want to use them to run an ajax TruClient scritp that was recorded in IE9.

At the moment we are still running 11.0 so we do not have the ability to test this. However, we will be upgrading soon and we need to prepare a list of programs we need installed on our load generators.

When replaying, what occurs is browser emulation, so there is no particular need for the browser when replaying in load mode, so regardless of the browser it should work.

AJAX TC IE is only available on 11.5x so your generators have to be the same version. If you have 11 you cannot test AJAX TC IE.

If your LGs are 11.5, they have to be the same patch level as the Controller. Just in case its at 11.52. LGs do not need to have IE 9. They can be in IE 7 through 10.

Mario.

So, if we have 11.5 on our environment and I record a script with VuGen in Ajax TruClient IE protocol, I can use it on my load generators as long as they have a version of internet explorer 7 to 10?

Can the results differ when using for instance IE7 instead of IE10?
