Approach on Mainframe testing using loadrunner

Hi,

I want to know the approach or guidelines for Mainframe testing using Loadrunner. Can anyone provide info on how to monitor, generate results. I know that we need to use RTE protocol or this approach. Require more info on the overall approach for mainframe testing

Re: Approach on Mainframe testing using loadrunner

Hi Ravi,

Do you have LoadRunner installed..??

You need to use the Terminal emulator (RTE) protocol for this.

You can get detailed document on this in PROTOCOL section of VUGEN....

Is has list of supported TE, environmetns....How is works (Architecure)...on how it replaces human users....and lot more....I read it only once...you can have a look at once to explore more on RTE.

Re: Approach on Mainframe testing using loadrunner

Hi Shiva,

Thanks for the reply. I want to know the process on how to monitor servers, gather results for RTE protocol, is it the same way as we do it for web or http protocol.

I know that we need to use RTE and had gone through the manual on RTE. If you know more, please share the info.

Regards,
Ravi.
