Auth Fails on web_custom_request

I am having issues with VUGen putting the Basic Auth information into the headers for a web_custom_request call. Code is this:

web_set_user("uid", "pwd", "srv.com");
web_custom_request("RCM-PromptList", "Method=POST",
"URL={URLVal}",
"Body={BodyVal}");

I've done a network trace and can see that it posts without the auth info, gets a 401-Not Authorized, Posts again, another 401, and it fails.

Am I missing something that is supposed to be put in to force it to put the auth info into the request?

Re: Auth Fails on web_custom_request

Update: HP took a look at the logged problem, saw there was custom code, suggested a patch that would not apply, and closes the case.

Re: Auth Fails on web_custom_request

The solution to this problem was to do a web_add_header("Authorization", "Basic encrypteduserpassvalue")
