Best practice for Remote Desktop Protocol scripting.

Hi, I am going to automate monitoring for some win32 based application with RDP protocol.

Are there any resources about RDP scripting and best practices for it?

Unfortunately. I could find anything on HP site.

Thanks,
Alexander

Re: Best practice for Remote Desktop Protocol scripting.

Have you read the RDP sections in the LoadRunner manual? There is a fair amount of information there. Also if you are using LR/PC 9.5 consider upgrading with SP1, there are some fixes and enhancements there. See the attached readme file.

Also there is a good article here on the basics:

Re: Best practice for Remote Desktop Protocol scripting.

Hi,

All tips and trick are in the doc mentioned by Alan.

Infact, you can access this from within the tool help.

Refer: Start->LoadRunner->Documentation->VUGen User Guide

Refer Section Protocols -> RDP.

Hope this helps.!
