Co-related script recorded in LR 11 fails to run in HP BPM 8.05

Jump to solution

Hi ,

I recorded a script in LR 11 and the corelation is made with web_reg_save_param_ex shown as below.

web_reg_save_param_ex(
        "ParamName=CorrelationParameter_1",
        "LB= value=\"",
        "RB=\">",
        SEARCH_FILTERS,
        "Scope=Body",
        "RequestUrl=*/silentDetection.aspx*",
        LAST);

The script runs fine in LR11 but when i try to invoke it through the BPM 8.05, it fails with the below error.

23/05/2012 14:50:36 Error: CCI compilation error -Action.c (31): undeclared identifier `SEARCH_FILTERS' . [MsgId: MERR-19799] 23/05/2012 14:50:36 Error: CCI compilation error -c:\\programdata\\hp\\bpm\\workspace\\agent1\\site1\\lims_loginlogout_248\\207\\lims loginlogout nam\\res\\combined_LIMS LOGINLOGOUT NAM.c (6): 1 errors, not writing pre_cci.ci . Please help me in getting this resolved.

Thanks,

Mallesh

Hi

using web_reg_save_param in the script also didnt work since its deprecated in Load Runner 11.

I tried running the script in BPM 9.03 and this seemed to work and script runs fine.

thanks for all your suggestions. closing the thread.

Thanks,

Mallesh

Hello Mallesh123,

The Search Filters section is optional. Where the section is specified, all of the search specifiers are optional.

Then delete the SearchFilers line:

web_reg_save_param_ex(
"ParamName=CorrelationParameter_1",
"LB= value=\"",
"RB=\">",
"Scope=Body",
"RequestUrl=*/silentDetection.aspx*",
LAST);

Then replay the script in Vugen, if it works fine run on BPM and  check.

Thanks,

Hi Critz29,

I am getting the below error after removing the SEARCH_FILTERS.

Action.c(32): Error -26396: The "Scope=Body" argument (number 4) is unrecognized or misplaced, Snapshot Info [MSH 1 2]      [MsgId: MERR-26396]
Action.c(32): Registering web_reg_save_param_ex highest severity level was "ERROR"      [MsgId: MMSG-26389]

Thanks,

Mallesh

Hi,

Then you can remove the optional parameters to the function:

"Scope=Body",
"RequestUrl=*/silentDetection.aspx*",

And use it just as the following:

web_reg_save_param_ex(

"ParamName=CorrelationParameter_1",
"LB= value=\"",
"RB=\">",
LAST);

Thank you,

If you plan on removing all that might as well try web_reg_save_param instead of web_reg_save_param_ex.

Hi Mallesh,

BPM 8.x supports only LR 9.5 & earlier versions in which we don't have web_reg_save_param_ex() function. It was introduced with LR11. So is the reason, your script is failing in BPM 8.x.

Just go through the Readme file to understand support matrix for any version of the tools.

web_reg_save_param() is upgraded with another new function web_reg_save_param_ex() in LR 11, but the old one is still supported.

Raj
