Component Testing using LR

Hi,

Just wanted to know if there is some way to know the response time values at a component level. For eg:- I get the average response time values for a particular call (say 10 secs for Update.do). Out of this how much time was spent in the web, app, db servers and also network?

Regards,
Vinu

Re: Component Testing using LR

Yes but not with LR/PC. You would need to look into server side monitoring software. There are several companies that can provide end to end monitoring that can give you time spent on each tier.

Thanks Alan.
Can anyone suggest some tools in this regard which would help in capturing the response times at tier-level.

Take a look at Opnet application performance tools here:

http://www.opnet.com/solutions/application_performance/#appmonitor

HP has tools, IBM has Tivoli and ITCAM, CA eHealth, and Solarwinds. These are a few that I can think of off the top of my head. None are cheap but some are free to try.

Good luck.
