Connect VTS 12.60 Server running in SSL mode

I Trying to connect a vts running with ssl active ("useSSL":true; and certificate in configure.json)  and always get the following error message:

vuser_init.c(19): Error: lrvtc_connect: Failed to connect server. Please check the server name, port number, network connectivity or whether server above 11.52 version is started.

Line 19:   pvci = lrvtc_connect("axinlrvts1",8888,VTOPT_KEEP_ALIVE);

The VTS version is 12.60.

Without ssl works, but I need use SSL.

Any Idea?

To configure VTS over SSL mode you will need to make sure that the following properties are defined correctly on the configure.json file:

  • certificate
  • privateKey
  • ca: this property is optional, and is relevant only when the requestClientCert is set to true. Otherwise, it is ignored.
  • tlsVersion
  • ciphers
  • requestClientCert

Note: the certificate and privateKey should be in .pem format. Also, certificate, privateKey and ca must be located in the same folder as node.exe

Re: Connect VTS 12.60 Server running in SSL mode

Could you try lrvtc_connect_ex instead?

Another way is to use lrvtc_connect by prefixing the url with https:

pvci = lrvtc_connect("https:axinlrvts1",8888,VTOPT_KEEP_ALIVE);

But if certification is required, then lrvtc_connect_ex is required.
