Controller : Not able to open (Failed to create online: Invalid pointer)

Hi,

My controller was working fine until 2-3 days back and now it has started giving me an error while opening. The message says: "Failed to create online: Invalid pointer".

Recently my license key got expired and I installed a new key, could that be the cause to this. I don't think so because I have done this in past as well and my new license key had always worked fine.

Appreciate any suggestions/help.

Thanks,

Sushil

Re: Controller : Not able to open (Failed to create online: Invalid pointer)

Still not able to find a solution to this...

Just an update...I tried to register the controller by running the command "regsvr32 register_controller.dll"

by doing so I got rid of this error however I encountered a new error "An unsupported operation was attempted" 😞

I believe a fresh instatllion can only help now...

Re: Controller : Not able to open (Failed to create online: Invalid pointer)

Hi,

I had the same problem, and did a repair.  Sorted everything out by itself.  Hope it works for you or that you've found a workaround in the meantime.

Thanks.

Re: Controller : Not able to open (Failed to create online: Invalid pointer)

HI All,

1)change the administrator password 2)change the user id to login. The steps lead to this message

Thanks
