DTD is prohibited error while configuring the sitescope via MOFW machine

Jump to solution

Hi

I am getting below error message while connecting the sitescope on Monitor Over Firewall Machines.

Parsing error.

Details: host xx.xx.xx.xx, port 8888 Line:11

Reson: DTD is prohibited.

I checked the port is 8888 in xmlmonitorshared file on MOFW mahcine.

On sitescope machine, on master.config file changed the below entery

_httpactiveport = 8888 (earlier it was 8892)

and confirmed the _httpport = 8888.

Another issue which I can think of that I am not getting xml while trying topaz url on sitescope machine.

http://localhost:8888/SiteScope/cgi/go.exe/SiteScope?page=topaz

I get message "Click here to navigate to SiteScope home page.

Please advise.

Regards

Mukesh

Hi,

I will suggest processing like that:

First ensure the link below works with localhost on SiteScope machine.

http://localhost:8888/SiteScope/cgi/go.exe/SiteScope?page=topaz

This should return an xml file. If that is not returning xml file, you should:

>>Check if SiteScope is working and is correctly configured. I suggest keeping al default settings on SiteScope server

>>Check if someone else (different application) is not using port 8888

>> You cannot proceed without having that returning XML on port 8888. Did you changed the default port

After that I working, you should go to the controller or MOFW machine depending on the configuration and check with the SiteScope server name or IP the link

http://<SiS Server>:8888/SiteScope/cgi/go.exe/SiteScope?page=topaz

If the link is working, then it is probably SiS working with the PC-SiS integration. If not:

>> Check the network connectivity

>> Check the DNS can resolve the names

Good luck,

Ivo

Hello Mukesh,

Please do a telnet and check if both 8888 and 80 port are accessible from Performance Center server machine.

Make sure SiteScope login credentials that you are adding the PC monitor profile belongs to "Administrator" group.

Also please be sure that SiS is generating data, you can check the SiS logs that are located on a path like this: <SiteScope>/Logs/Run_monitor.log

Please let me know the results from the suggestions. In the meantime I'm going to keep investigating about this.

Thanks Daniela

Can you please let me know which machines I need to telnet from sitescope server machines. Please note that sitescope server, LG machines and MOFW machines are into the same port group where as MI Listener and PC server, Controller are in another port group.

Also I have not created any user in sitescope and default administrator account is being used.

As suggested checked the logs and there is a warning regarding "topaz integration is disabled"

Also I noticed some errors while launching sitescope it populates the java authentication window and I wan entering the machine login credentials and it does not accept so cancel and proceeded.

Hi Ivor

Thanks for your suggestions and valuable inputs.

This issue is now resolved, we have to retun to 8080 and it solved the issue.
