Errors in Controller while running a scenario

Hi,

I am struggling to get this working. We have some scripts recorded in Java/RMI protocol. I am trying to run one of those in a scenario on a Loadrunner 9.52 controller on windows XP SP3.
I am also running a Tnameserver and a RMI server VM on the Controller machine.

I am using two LGs; one on a windows machine and another on AIX running total 50 VUs (25 on each). I test the connection and start the scenario. After some time, I keep getting the following errors in the scenario window.

Error: System.err: log4j:WARN Caught Exception while in Loader.getResource. This may be innocuous.

Error: Driver extension entry not found for platform AIX. "AIX_EXT_LIBS" attribute cannot be found in section "Rmi-Java" in file /usr/lpp/HP/HP_LoadGenerator/dat/mdrv.dat (default: none). [MsgId: MERR-10738]

Any idea why I might be getting these errors?

Any/all the help is highly appreciated!

Thanks!

Re: Errors in Controller while running a scenario

I Beleive LG is installed under /usr/lppHP/HP_LoadGenerator.

Have you rechecked on the path for the libraries ?
you may want to check LIBPATH for AIX to ensure paths are set for java, oracle etc...

I am guessing it is not able to find the path ..

Re: Errors in Controller while running a scenario

Thanks a lot for the response!

While installing the LG on AIX following is what the env.csh supposed to do..
------------------------------------
setenv PRODUCT_DIR /usr/lpp/HP/HP_LoadGenerator

setenv M_LROOT $PRODUCT_DIR

if ( `uname` == SunOS ) then
setenv LD_LIBRARY_PATH .:${M_LROOT}/bin
else if ( `uname` == Linux ) then
setenv LD_LIBRARY_PATH .:${M_LROOT}/bin
else if ( `uname` == AIX ) then
setenv LIBPATH .:${M_LROOT}/bin
else if ( `uname` == HP-UX ) then
setenv SHLIB_PATH .:${M_LROOT}/bin
endif

setenv PATH ${M_LROOT}/bin:$PATH
---------------------------------------
Based on this, this is what I have in the .profile of the user the agent daemon is running with..

export PRODUCT_DIR=/usr/lpp/HP/HP_LoadGenerator
export M_LROOT=$PRODUCT_DIR
export LIBPATH=.:${M_LROOT}/bin

Am I missing anything?

Thanks!

Re: Errors in Controller while running a scenario

My bad. Seem to have completely missed out on the JAVA protocol.
I recollect Java vuser - RMI,corba EJB .. cannot be run on Unix platforms.

Its still worth a check with HP if they have a solution for the same.

Re: Errors in Controller while running a scenario

Thanks for this information..

But I keep getting the other error even when I use a windows LG..

Error: System.err: log4j:WARN Caught Exception while in Loader.getResource. This may be innocuous.

Any idea about this?

Re: Errors in Controller while running a scenario

Do you have the full trace of error.
What is the configuration of LG box ?

Re: Errors in Controller while running a scenario

How do I get the full trace of the error? And where does it get captured?

The LG machine is a windows XP professional SP3 laptop with 2.67 GHz i5 CPU and 3.42 GB RAM

Thanks!

Re: Errors in Controller while running a scenario

Hi,

Have you checked the classpath on the Load Generator machine ?
Ensure the classpath is set for LR & JDK.

Launch a new script(dont record) and run it.
If the execution logs report no errors then
the settings on LG are correct.

Now capture your Busines process in the scipt on the generator to see if the issues arise.
