Executing performance test in HP Performance Center using com4j

Hi,

We are exploring the com4j API to connect to HP Performance Center 11 and run a performance test. We require to automate the execution of performance tests in HP Performance Center.

Can anyone please help us with the steps needed to kick off a Performance Test run on HP Performance Center?

What are the methods in com4j that can be utilized to achieve this?

Do we need to programatically create a reservation slot for the test that we need to execute?

Kindly advise. Thanks!

Re: Executing performance test in HP Performance Center using com4j

Greetings Richa_S

Hoping you are doing well!

I am Performance Center & LoadRunner Support Representative. Please give me a liitle bit more time to investigate about it.

Regarding the description of the current question you have, if the com4j is the idea is to create a Performance Testing with that component, tool or application. We need to make sure that it can be recorded, and thus you will be able to test it using the Peformance Center product.

On Performance Center there is a component called 'PC Host Vugen' that let you the possibility to create a recording based on the protocol communication that Application using com4j is using. It is recommended that the application may have TCP protocol communication to Server and Client. That is the basic and lower traffic that can be recorded.

Is that a Java Web Application?

What is the verion of PC?

Please let us know about more this.

Kind Regards,

Re: Executing performance test in HP Performance Center using com4j

Hi Alexis B,

Thanks for your response. Actually we are looking for ways to programatically kick off the performance tests through java code. We are using the com4j and ota api to achieve this. We are able to connect to the ALM machine but are stuck when it comes to kicking off a performance test.

We are using HP Performance Center 11

Kindly advise.
