HP Loadrunner memory errors

While running loadrunner with a soa bundle of 53 Vusers, we are receiving multiple out of memory exceptions from loadrunner. It usually includes an Exception_Access_Violation and the transaction fails. We should have plenty of CPU and available memory left on the server. Is there an internal Loadrunner limit for memory? Is there a limit to the amount of Vusers per server if we are running on a Windows 2003 server? Any information would help thank you.

Re: HP Loadrunner memory errors

Hi David,

Try few things:

1. Check run time setting if you are running your test with process or thread. It should be process. Thread causes memory issue.

2. You Gzip compression if your soa bundle response is too big. you can do it at runtimesetting preferences.

3. Check in runtime settings whether any logs are enabled.if so disable them and check the option create log only when error occurs . Remove all the temp files in the machine where the controller is running. Save the results folder in a drive other that the drive which loadrunner is installed.

Thanks,
Champ
