HP Product vs Microsoft Windows Updates & Fixes Compatibility

Hello everybody.

I am in charge of an HP COE: ALM, PC, SiS, Diag in version 11.5, 11.5, 11.20, 9.2 respectively.

The O.S. department told me they need to apply some Microsoft Updates and fixes on the servers (All windows Server 2008).

I would like to know if there is a way to verify if these updates/fixes won't produce any compatibility issue or operation damage in the COE (there's a precedent with SiS 10.10 a couple of years ago).

I have the list of these Updates/fixes if needed.

Thanks in advance.

Best regards.

Re: HP Product vs Microsoft Windows Updates & Fixes Compatibility

Hi,

Microsoft is releasing new updates on a regular base after listed products were released. Moreover each system has its specifics and it is not possible to guarantee that after applying these fixes and updates on your system there will not be any issues.

My recommendation is to have a test environment on which you can test the updates and fixes before deciding to apply them to the production environment.

If any problems appear you will have time to solve them without your production environment being down.

Kind regards,
Vesela

Re: HP Product vs Microsoft Windows Updates & Fixes Compatibility

Hello

So far the only MS update that gives issues is the one related to the certificates, but if the PC/LR software is having the lates patch then there will be no issues.

hope this helps
