How to get the timestamp of a file in remote desktop

I have a requirement to write a code to see if a file exist in "two" different remote locations and compare the file timestamp.How do I get the timestamp of the file and not the system time.and also if anybody could give a example of any code it would be much appreciated.

Windows OS.I dont think I have option to record but hand code the script if I am not wrong?
