Integrating Loadrunner and Quick Test Pro

Hi all,

I am interested in integrating Loadrunner and Quick Test Pro. i.e. reduce the effort of recording the same work flows in both LR and QTP.

I was hoping to get some feedback from the experts on this.

I have read varying views over the net so just thought I would throw the discussion out there...

Thanks in advance.

Re: Integrating Loadrunner and Quick Test Pro

I personally suggest don't go with this option.

QTP does object level recording.....LR does protocol based recording.

I don't think it's a good suggestion to re-use qtp scripts in LR just to avoid recording of the business process and create.

You can wait to hear from people, who have used qtp scripts in LR. (I have done this)

Re: Integrating Loadrunner and Quick Test Pro

Another issues is that you'll need a load gen per QTP user. it will be very time consuming and expensive trying to run a 1000 QTP Vuser Load test: Hardware+Software costs, labor Costs, QTP licenses Cost, Load Runner Costs, etc....

Auch....
