LR 8.1 testing of Hyperion Planning 9.3.1.1

I have run into an issue with trying to update a cell in the plannig system. LR does not recognize the updated cell. An error throws at the top of the planning page that says see log.

EnterData.jsp step fails. I believe the problem is with either the RND or CI parameter but have not figured this out yet.

Any help would be appreciated, all other read only testing works just fine.

We are on version 9.3 and I ran into this problem myself. You shouldn't have to worry about the RND's, but you have to parametrize the CI's and also you should see some GI fields that need to be parametrized also.

I did not notice the GI param. Let look into that one a bit. Thx.

Re: LR 8.1 testing of Hyperion Planning 9.3.1.1

Please help. I got a problem with testing Hyperion with LoadRunner. Is there a specific protocol I need to use? If not, what do I need to do to handle the authentication (such as sso token, session id, etc.)? I have tried many ways, but so far, I am still having problems. Thanks!

Re: LR 8.1 testing of Hyperion Planning 9.3.1.1

Hello,

The workflow of performance testing with LoadRunner/ALM Performance Center. Testing of two central object types of Hyperion Planning applications: web forms and Business Rules.

Use a LoadRunner script blueprint that simulates the following actions:
  • Workspace authentication
  • Opens application
  • Opens webform
  • Saves web form

Thanks.
