LR 9.5 install

Have attempted to install LR 9.5, but having a problem.

Our new LR controller is a standalone machine with no internet access, so I got on a machine with internet connectivity and downloaded the zip file from the link provided by HP to a thumb drive. I then unzipped it, which gave us a .iso image.

I burned the .iso file to a DVD, unpacking the files contained within. The files looked good, but when I double-clicked on the setup.exe file, I got a DOS command-prompt window that did nothing.

Not sure what went wrong. Any suggestions?

Re: LR 9.5 install

Did you make sure that the files and folders were not read only after transfer from DVD?

Re: LR 9.5 install

Alan,
Thanks for responding. I was trying to open the setup.exe file directly from the DVD. When I copied the DVD files to the controller machine's hard drive, the setup.exe file does the same thing.

Re: LR 9.5 install

Fafo: I do have admin rights, but found that was not the problem. Went back and re-burned the DVD with no luck, but found that the files had been corrupted during the simple task of unzipping the iso image. When I re-unzipped (is that a word?), then re-burned the iso image to DVD, it worked fine. Thanks to those who responded.

Sanjay, I used Roxio creator DE to burn the iso image to DVD, but it's not freeware.
