Load Runner

How can we run one script with 500 vusers on 3 machines(dividing the load of 500 vusers on 3 machines)

do we have to add the same script in the controller three times and divide the load?

Re: Load Runner

Use "Convert scenario to percentage mode" in the controller and the load will be divided among the 3 LG's

Re: Load Runner

Hi,

No need to convert to percentage mode.
Place the same script 3 times, and assign 150,150 and 200 users for each LG.
Remember for 500 users 3 LGs may not sufficient.

Thanks

Re: Load Runner

Hi Anamika,

There is not definative figures as such for this.
The way to work it out is baselining. You could run your users say 50 on a generator and monitor the stats such as CPU, memory. Say if the CPU consumes 35% resources for running 50 users then gauge the figure of the maximum capacity.

Hope this helps!

Re: Load Runner

SPP is correct, generally for WEB protocol the thumb rule is 50 users. But if your LG has nice hardware you can ramp it upto 150 users but you have to watch out CPU utilization.

Thanks
