Load runner 12 free community version

A collegeue is trying to trial HP Loadrunner 12, can anybody answer the questions below?

  1. How to download Load Generator component as part of 'Load Runner 12' free community version - Downloaded DVD doesn't seem to contain this component?
  2. How many VUsers free community version 12 supports?is it 50 Vusers?
  3. Does free version supports multi-protocol Vusers such as COM/DCOM + OracleNCA + Web protocols user script?
  4. Can Load Generator be installed on the same Windows box (spec as below) where Controller, VUgen and Analysis components are already installed?

We are using following spec. Windows server:

O/S:   Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard SP1.

Processor:      Intel(R) Xenon(R) CPU E5-2670 0 @ 2.60GHz

RAM:             32GB

System Type: 64 Bit O/S - although 'Load Runner' components are installed as 32 bit i.e. under Program Files (X86) directory.

Disk Space:   Total 58GB with 40GB free space.

It will be good to get clarity on above 4 questions from HP.

Re: Load runner 12 free community version

With HP Loadrunner 12 Community ( trial)  Edition you are able to make only full LoadRunner installation i.e VuGen, Controller and Analysis on one machine. In this case the LoadRunner machine will be use as a Controller and load generator.

LoadRunner 12 Community Edition come with 50 free Vusers of all protocols (other than COM/DCOM, vuser templates and GUI vusers). They are permanent licenses.

Please check http://h30499.www3.hp.com/t5/LoadRunner-Support-Forum/LR-support-tip-How-to-check-the-protocols-included-in-LoadRunner/td-p/6445414

System requirements are available in LR 12.00_Readme which is also available as part of HP Loadrunner 12 Community Edition download.
