Load runner 9.1 mmdrv.exe error

Hi folks,

We are running Load runner 9.1 on Windows. When we increase the number of users beyond certain limit we get this error from mmdrv.exe and it says "application falied to initialize properly. click ik to terminate the application". We tried to overcome this by running vusers as threads instead of process. Still this problme persists. Any help on this would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Senthil.

P.S: Correct answer will get full 10 points 🙂

Hi,

This is actually a Microsoft operating system problem. During very high CPU load, there are situations, when the OS does not allow any new process starts for some time.

To overcome this please go thru the article:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;128642

Hope this helps.

Hi,

This is fully related to memory or admin rights. Did you log in as an administrator when you installed LoadRunner? This is necessary to ensure that the registry is updated correctly.
