LoadRunner: Server has shut down the connection prematurely

Hi,

I have created a web protocol script. While running the script in controller for 30 concurrent users I am getting the below error message in the log.

"Server has shut down the connection prematurely"

I have succesfully completed the same execution for 15 concurrent users. Developer is not able to find my requests which fails in his logs i.e I am not able to hit the server for those requests which fails..

I have set the connection time outs using the below functions

web_set_timeout( CONNECT, "1000");
web_set_timeout( RECEIVE, "1000");
web_set_timeout( STEP, "1000");

Still I am not able to resolve the issue..

Can you please suggest some solution to solve this issue?

Re: LoadRunner: Server has shut down the connection prematurely

Hi,

Try with few things one by one:

1. Are you using IP spoofing? It may be that the server is rejecting a range of IPs.

2. If you are not required to do IP spoofing then please uncheck the IP spoofing option and try running this could be the most reason for this error.

3. Dont let user load ramp up all togather, ramp up the user load slowly slowly. Try this out.

4. You can try this at last. web_set_sockets_option("IGNORE_PREMATURE_SHUTDOWN", "1");

I hope this will help you.

Thanks,
Champ
