LoadRunner TruClient protocols for Linux generators.

We have all LInux load generators.  Can HP make LoadRunner TruClient protocols run on Linux load generators?

Re: LoadRunner TruClient protocols for Linux generators.

Hello Homer-the-Great,

For this concern,TruClient cannot work on Linux LG, or at least TruClient IE.

At this point the only protocols that work on Linux LG are:

  • Web (HTTP/HTML)
  • SAP Web
  • Mobile Apps (HTTP/HTML)
  • Siebel Web
  • WinSocket
  • Web Click and Script
  • AJAX Click and Script
  • Oracle 2 tier
  • Oracle NCA
  • Oracle Web Applications 11i
  • C Vuser

As a workaround, you can convert truclient script to web(http/html) script in VuGen (it’s still required to enhance the script manually, say parameterization and correlation), then run it on Linux LG.

How may I perform such a conversion?

Re: LoadRunner TruClient protocols for Linux generators.

This was an enhancement added into LoadRunner 12.X.

There is an option (A button next to the develop mode), that after create a TruClient script, you can convert it into a Web script.

 See attached.
