Loadrunner 9.5 Controller Startup Error

Hi,

Every time I launch the loadrunner controller from the start>all programs>loadrunner>applications>controller menu I get the following crash:

Wlrun.exe caused an EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION in module Wlrun.exe at 001B:00785661, CLrBaseException::`vftable'()+897249 byte(s)

001B:005888AD Wlrun.exe, CLrBaseException::operator=()+1204381 byte(s)

I have now cleaned the registry after uninstalling loadrunner and then carried out a reinstall but it has made no difference.

Strangely I can still access the controller through vugen using the Tools>Create Controller Scenrio menut item.

Please help!

Re: Loadrunner 9.5 Controller Startup Error

What OS have you installed LR 9.5?

Are you local administrator?

did you try re-running the setup and repair??

Re: Loadrunner 9.5 Controller Startup Error

I'm running on Windows XP SP3 and I am running as a local administrator.

I've carried out a full re-install of the LoadRunner software and it hasn't made any difference, the problem still occurs

Re: Loadrunner 9.5 Controller Startup Error

I suggest you to contact HP support and check if they have any patches to resolve this?

I remember few people reported this error here earlier.....you can check their responses in below thread..
