Loadrunner controller stops collecting data after some time

Hi,

I am running some basic scripts(Order placement) in LR controller. Controller generates the load from a remote machine.

After 2-3 hrs(its random, somtimes it collects data for 6hrs), controller shows zero hits/sec and response time graph stops showing data.( but i am able to still see that the orders are getting placed properly in DB)
Even in analysis tool, i am seeing the data only for those 2 hrs.

Please let me know the reason/solution for this behavior?

Re: Loadrunner controller stops collecting data after some time

what is the problem you are facing ?
are you not able to collate the results after the completion of the test ?
the commits which you see in the DB does not mean that they are happening right now.it might be that its executing a queue.DB updates sometimes take time.the moment you see zero hits and response time graph stops showing data,it means you have successfully crashed your application.

Re: Loadrunner controller stops collecting data after some time

The problem is after 2 - 3 hrs of load testing(Placing orders), the hits/sec shows zero in controller.
Similarly, i see that the response time graph stops updating the graph after that period.

But the commits that i see in Db happens even after that period. I can see lot of orders coming up even after 6,8,10,12... hrs. [In remote machine i can mmdrv.exe process running even after that 3 hrs]
