MIL Collation Limits

What is the Max Data , Max LGs, Max MOFWs , that an MIL will support ? While the answer is no limit , In practicality all the Machines using MIL may need to rely on same port etc.

 

How can we work with Large Loads on OFW LGs that are long duration and generate > 2GB Data, Normally these run into failed collation issues , Are there any good prctices to avoid them

 

Can multi VMs on Same Physical Machine be used to create MILs hence have x LGs per VM , Is this tested approach

Hello

Yes there is no limit but is likely to fail on big test mostly because of broadband or lack of resources on this regards, not by any issue or limitation on PC software, for those situation you can do manual collation and avoid problems.

the second question is yes, but I dont really understand the poing of having multiple MiListeners, one single MiListener can have multiple LG.

This question is based on assumption that even when not running tests LGs constandly Ping same MIL to make them identified as available , to do this they use same Port 443 on MIL hence they time Cycle in round robin , now when MIL is overwelmed and the LGs latest messge is not read , the LG is treated as not avalilable and hence goes to Non Operatinal. Same could happen when 6 LGs for example send result data simultaneously to same MIL , Now My question is around having more MILs hence making resonable number of LGs connected to each would not make them overwelming

Your assumption is not correct, LG doesnt keep doing ping while they are not working, you can even add LG that are currently down and they will be added and marked as available, only then the Controller tries to open the communication channel at test start up then it will find out that the LG is down and will mark it as unavailable, so again, no need of multiple MiListeners because if the MiListener is the one that is down then all ROFW machines will be down, keep on mind MiListener role is very light and is needed a really high amount of LG to overwhelm it, I never saw any situation when it got overwhelmed.
