Oracle monitor profile

Hello,

We are having hard time creating Oracle monitor in Monitoring profile of PC11.52. As per support documents, we have installed Oracle client with no space in the installation path. We have setup tnsnames.ora file and tnsping and sqlplus is workign from the controller machine.

When we try to add Oracle monitor profile we get option of Server, user/pwd. We tried adding server name/ server ip/ tnsname for that server along with the credentials but no luck.

Are we missing something here..

Your help is appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Oracle monitor profile

Hi Mufaddal,

Which machine did you install Oracle client on?

What is the version of Oracle Client? 32bit or 64bit?

Please make sure that you installed Oracle Client in PC Server machine and it is Oracle client 32 bit.

Re: Oracle monitor profile

Do you have any official document mentions the information about Oracle 32 bit?

Thanks.

Re: Oracle monitor profile

Hi Judy,

Please refer page 284 in HP ALM Performance Center: User and Administrator Guide version 11.50.

It mentions:

"Note: Only the 32-bit Oracle client should be installed on the Controller machine running the Oracle monitor. If you have a 16-bit and a 32-bit Oracle client installation on the Controller machine, the 16-bit installation should be uninstalled."

You can refer this document as well:
