(PC) Support tip: During PC12.53P4 SA LG installation, symlink files does not get created
During PC12.53P4 SA LG installation, there may be a case where the symlink files does not get created. As a result, the LoadRunner services like LR agent service and remote management service does not start or they may start and stop immediately
One scenario that could lead to this is with user permissions on the install drive. If you trace out the error during installation using any external tools like process explorer, you can look for any access denied messages for the given folder path
To workaround the issue, post installation run the attached batch file which will allow to copy the actual dlls (instead of symlink files) to the required folder locations for starting the LoadRunner services successfully and allow to be able to connect to it
