(PC) Support tip: Performance Center is very slow

When accessing Performance Center, we are not able to edit test, see the Run Time Settings and the PC pages are flickering sometimes and cannot display properties of test designer(sometimes it displays), all the PC pages are extremely slow.

So checking the environment and everything seems to be fine, settings are corrrect, network is fine. When we checked the logs, we figured out that the logs were in "Debug" mode, then we changed the logs to "Error" mode and then the environment works fine.

To disable the logs we should go to the PC install folder\dat\ltlogconf.xml and change the level value from Debug to Error, the default value is Error, this logs are used just for troubleshooting, once you are done, the log should be set to the default value.

<root> <level value="Error" />

Thank you

Is it only on root level? Because I do see other log which is in Debug mode.. Should we change it to 'Error' to improve the performance?

<logger name="PerformanceLogger">
<level value="Debug" />
<appender-ref ref="ROLLING_4CHAINSAW_PERFORMANCE" />

<logger name="LogCollator">
<level value="Debug" />
<appender-ref ref="ColoredConsoleAppender" />

<level value="Error" />
<appender-ref ref="ROLLING_4CHAINSAW"/>
<appender-ref ref="ROLLING" />

Also please do the following database table clean up for performance improvement.

Take the backup of your database and run the below queries.

truncate table lab_host_check_results

truncate table RUNS

truncate table LOCKS

Once you have done these your whole environment slowness will go, also please keep the log level as ERROR as suggested by above post in ALM and PC Core servers. Thanks.
