PC Tip: How to keep the PCS and host logs longer (both log size and number of logs)?

To keep the PCS and LTS logs for long without being overwritten for troubleshooting purposes, here are the steps:

  1. Go to PC\dat\ltlogconf.xml and open it in Notepad
  2. Go to the last entry in the bottom of the file for “level_value=” flag and set it to “debug”
  3. Under  <PC Host>\dat\ltlogconf.xml, edit the flags <maxSizeRollBackups value="10" /> and <maximumFileSize value="5000KB" /> to values “50” and “10000” under sections <appender name="ROLLING_4CHAINSAW" and <appender name="ROLLING" and SAVE the changes. This change will allow to keep more ltlogger logs without getting overwritten
  4. Save and close the file
  5. Go to <PC_install>\orchidtmp\ltlogger folder. Inside that remove all the old files from “ltopsvc” and “wlrun” sub-folders (for host) and w3wp (for PC Server) BEFORE reproducing the issue and capturing new set of logs for sending to support
