Recording protocols other than web/http

Hi,

We have always had a problem recording protocols other than web/http. Is there any documentation or sections of documentation that explain this? for example we recorded an application using com/dcom and .net as advised by the protocol advisor, and it seemed to just record a lot of binary type data, we didn't know where our actions started and stopped and with no snapshots we are unable to see it step through the application.

Re: Recording protocols other than web/http

While recording the steps you can very well mention your transaction start name and close it when it stopped generating the even for that particular action....I mean start a transaction with a transaction name and once the event stops getting generated close the transaction...this way you will be able to know where you transaction starts and where it stops in the script itself.

Thanks,
