Response Time Observed more in Vugen then Manually

HI All,

I recorded following steps of a application.

Launching the URL
Login
Logout

With following recording oprions.

Web HTTP/HTML Protocol, HTML Based Script, Selectd ( A script containing Expelicit URL's and Record With current script step)

Now when I observed the txn response time for the above 3 txn from vugen observed this.

Launching the URL= 21.12 Sec
Login= 82.40 Sec
Logout= 27.02 Sec

But manually it is taking less then the response time observed in Vugen.

Manual Response Time:
Launching the URL= ~12 Sec
Login= ~50 Sec
Logout= ~ ~20 Sec

Can any one pls suggest me what is the reason vugen shows more time compare to manual response.

Try running one user in the Controller instead of VuGen. There is overhead in VuGen depending on the level of logging that is being displayed and the browser display. Also, make sure that you do not have any lr_think_time commands in between your timers.

Hey Alan,

Script dosent contain any think time or any conditional loops.

I am just suspecting as I need to calculate Pacing.

THnks for your response.

Log: Standard Log
Think Time: Ignore think time
Additional Attributed: None
Miscelalnious: Run as Thread

Speed Simulation: Use max bandwidth

Browser Emulation: Simulate browser cashe,

Proxy: Obtain the proxy from default browser settings
Preference: Winlnet replay instead of Sockets

Change proxy settings to no proxy and use the functiun web_set_proxy and web_set_user instead

and don't use the wininet option

replay the script and tell me if the transaction time are better or not.
