Setting parameter file

Hi;

I use a data file which contains 30000 elements but when I execute the load test, I have the following error with only 1200 elements used :

No more unique values for this parameter in table '..\..\Jdd\Comet_TMC_D1.txt' [unique range is 1101-1200].The parameter continues with last value of the range according to "When Out Of Values" policy.

Setting the parameter type file :

Select nex row : Unique
Update Value on : each iteration
When out of values : Continue in a cyclic manner

How I set the parameter file for using all 30000 elements into the file without any error ?
Total : the load test must used about 28000 elements.

Re: Setting parameter file

Make sure that there are sufficient data in the parameter data file

1. Make sure that there are sufficient data in the parameter data file. For example, if five Vusers are running, the data file should contain at least five rows of data or more

2. Make sure there is a single carriage return at the end of the parameter file.

3. Make sure there are no garbage values in the data file after the last row.

4. Shut down the Controller and VuGen. Then, go to the C:\Winnt ( or C:\Windows )folder to delete the following files
vugen.ini, wlrun.ini, wlrun5.ini and wlrun7.ini.

5. Delete all the files ending with .idx extension in the script folder.

6. Open up the script in VuGen, make sure it is running in VuGen without an error.

7. Do not add data directly to the data file while script/scenario is running.

Re: Setting parameter file

Hi;

OK just a question :

Which is the difference between :

1- Continue in a cyclic manner

And

2- Continue with last value ?

Re: Setting parameter file

suppose your parameter files is like this

1.param1
2.param2
3.param3

you run for 5 iterations.
Continue in a cyclic manner will have the following effect

Iteration 1 : param1
Iteration 2 : param2
Iteration 3 : param3
Iteration 4 : param1
Iteration 5 : param2

Continue with last value will have the following effect

Iteration 1 : param1
Iteration 2 : param2
Iteration 3 : param3
Iteration 4 : param3
Iteration 5 : param3
