Splitting ALM from PC

Hello,

I have a PC 11.51 with Patch 2 with ALM on the same server and I would like to split them to improve performance. What is the process to do that ?

Thanks

Omar

Re: Splitting ALM from PC

Hi Omar,

To achieve this, you can keep the first server as a dedicated ALM Server, remove it from the PC Servers list under Lab Management->Servers tab, install PCS 11.52 with patch 2 on a new server and add this new server as PC Server under Lab Management-> Servers section

You should now see ALM and PCS to be configured and running on different machines

Thanks,

Hello rkoduri,

Thanks for the replay... isn't easier to move ALM then PC ? Are there documentation to list your steps in details ?

Thanks

Re: Splitting ALM from PC

Hello

No, is much easier to move PC, no special steps, just remove the PC from the PC servers list, uninstall the software, install the sofware on the new machine and add it to the list again.
