TLS 1.2 Query

Hi guys,

We have been advised by our IT Security team that we must enable TLS 1.2 on port 443 on our LRE servers.

alagentservice.exe is using port 443.

How do we ensure TLS 1.2 is enabled on port 443? Will this have any detrimental effect on LoadRunner?

Re: TLS 1.2 Query

Some further info...

Our IT Security scan all of our servers using Qualys. The current recommendations are that we must have TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 disabled, and that TLS 1.2 is enabled.

Results of scan below:

CIPHER KEY-EXCHANGE AUTHENTICATION           MAC      ENCRYPTION(KEY-STRENGTH)    GRADE

SSLv2 PROTOCOL IS DISABLED

SSLv3 PROTOCOL IS DISABLED

TLSv1 PROTOCOL IS DISABLED

TLSv1.1 PROTOCOL IS DISABLED

TLSv1.2 PROTOCOL IS DISABLED

TLSv1.3 PROTOCOL IS ENABLED

TLS13-AES-128-GCM-SHA256      N/A        N/A        AEAD     AESGCM(128)    MEDIUM

TLS13-AES-256-GCM-SHA384      N/A        N/A        AEAD     AESGCM(256)    HIGH

TLS13-CHACHA20-POLY1305-SHA256       N/A        N/A        AEAD     CHACHA20/POLY1305(256)          HIGH

To me, it looks like TLS 1.2 is disabled but TLS 1.3 is enabled.

I think that having TLS 1.3 enabled is more secure than having TLS 1.2 enabled.

Is there any info you around Load Runner Enterprise 2020 and its use of TLS 1.3? Thanks.
