Timestamps in Vuser Log

Is there an option in the Vuser logs to see timestamps for each line? I'm trying to pinpoint when certain error messages happen but the logs do not have a timestamp.

Re: Timestamps in Vuser Log

I'm using TruClient IE. There ist an option in the Runtime Settings/Log/LogMessageFormatting/Include Timestamps in User Log.

Whenever you run a test, an output is produced like this:

t=00006746ms: ** 1: Navigate to "https://xxxxx" ** started    [MsgId: MMSG-205180]	[MsgId: MMSG-205180]
t=00006775ms: Request initiated for "https://xxxxxx" (internal ID=1)    [MsgId: MMSG-204692]	[MsgId: MMSG-204692]
t=00007066ms: Status Line: Client Certificate imported successfully to Load Generator	[MsgId: MMSG-205250]
t=00007183ms: First response segment received for "https://xxxxx" (internal ID=1) [MsgId: MMSG-204694]	[MsgId: MMSG-204694]

This t=00001234ms: is the offset from test start. I'd actually prefer a timestamp like this:

2016-02-22/11:26:59.853+01:00

But I didn't see any option to choose the timestamp format.

Re: Timestamps in Vuser Log

This is possibe in at least in LR 12.50

In the Runtime settings, Log-section there is a checkbox called "Print timestamp for 'Message functions'

Enabling this will give the following result:

Starting iteration 1.
Maximum number of concurrent connections per server: 6 [MsgId: MMSG-26989]
Starting action Action.
test lr_log_message [2016-02-24 11:45:12]
test lr_debug_message [2016-02-24 11:45:12]
test lr_message [2016-02-24 11:45:12]
Action.c(8): test lr_output_message [2016-02-24 11:45:12]
Action.c(10): web_convert_from_formatted started [MsgId: MMSG-26355]
Action.c(10): web_convert_from_formatted was successful [MsgId: MMSG-26392]
Ending action Action.
Ending iteration 1.

Re: Timestamps in Vuser Log

Unfortuantely this only applies in cases where you are explicitly sending an lr_output_message.

We need timestamps on every message sent to the log file, including the internally generated ones.

Is this possible?
