I am receiving the following error when trying to import a wsdl file into STM. "An error occurred while importing the service - Service import start

- The WSDL does not conform to Web services specifications.
- The WSDL requires authentication or is accessible through a proxy server only.
- The WSDL is not supported by the toolkit.

This wsdl works fine in SOAPUI so I am confused. Please assist.

Re: Unable to import wsdl file into Service Test Manager or Service Test

This could be reason:

342202.wsdl is not valid.

Invalid XML schema: 'Element is not allowed under element .

Re: Unable to import wsdl file into Service Test Manager or Service Test

Are you able to pull the wsdl up from it's location withing your application in a browser? If so, you might try importing by URL instead of filename.

Since your file passes a syntax check it could be that the version of LR that you are using does not support your specific .wsdl.

I have had good success performing a network capture on the web services server while executing the functionality in the application. You can then use the Analyze traffic option in the Web Service protocol to pull out the service call and build your script from the network capture.
