Unable to record in Vugen

Hi All,

Our client is having a new application to be scripted in Vugen. The application details are:

1.Client server application
2.Communicating through JDBC protocol.
3.Database is SQL Server 2005.
4.Desktop (Exe based) application.
5.Front end is VB.

Please suugest which protocol should be used for scripting as i have tried but failed.
Any suggestion are welcome.

Regards,
Bishnu

Re: Unable to record in Vugen

Hi Bishnu,

you could install on different box VuGen 9.5
this version has the "Protocol Advisor" function that suggest which protocol has to be used for scritping.

Re: Unable to record in Vugen

Hi Bishnu,

If its a Client server application you can give a try with Winsocks and ODBC combined protocol in Vugen. Otherwise as advised above you can use Vugen 9.5 which has a protocol advisor to recommend the best protocol for your application.

Re: Unable to record in Vugen

Hi,

It cannot be scripted in vugen or any request or response tool because we are not getting any response from the server.
