User Crednetials not getting recorded in script

Hi,

I am trying to record the script for an internal website of the client. I am providing the user credentials for login into the application while recording. However, the credentials in not recorded in the script. The whole ITEMDATA section is absent from the web_submit_data request. What can be the possible cause?

Re: User Crednetials not getting recorded in script

There aren't quite enough details here to help debug the problem, but some possibilities are the credentials are entered into a frame and separate web request or an embedded applet or passed through a separate javascript request or embedded in the URL string of the request. There's a host of possibilities.

Look through your resource file requests, examine the whole URL string carefully and look at previous and subsequent requests to the one you're looking in.

You might also try re-recording the script and change the 'Recording Options > General > Recording' from HTML-based to URL-based. It doesn't format as pretty, but can capture more data sometimes.
