Viewstate Correlation

Hi,
I am currently not able to make the correlation for one of my project, since the request is been captured in web_custom_request format. The issue is when i run the script with extended log the request are going through hexadecimal value so i am not able to capture the dynamic value. Can any one suggest me with respect to this.

Re: Viewstate Correlation

Sounds like there could be two different issues (based off the included links above.)

You may have to convert the values obtained from your Viewstates in order to pass them correctly.  (With or without hex codes for special characters.)

One of the included links also deals with having to manually correlate Viewstates even though a correlation rule has been set up to do the correlation already.

Noted already, you'll need to change the max param value for playback, but you can also change a setting that will allow your rule to pickup excessively large viewstates.

In the following path (adjust for your installation path)

C:\Program Files\HP\Virtual User Generator\config

exists a file named CorrelationSettings.xml

Within that file you can change the value of MaxParamLen ="XXXXXXX" to allow your manual correlation rule to pick up values that are larger in size than the current value of that file.
