Vugen Desktop Recording

Jump to solution
Vugen question:

User are complaining of slowness at one our remote sites so I created a vugen script using the RDP protocol that will login to a remote desktop in ATL and measure how long it takes to open Microsoft word/excel and save a 22mb document to a remote file server located in STL. Script is running every 5min via HP BAC

Is the RDP protocol the only protocol vugen offers that will record a desktop session opening a MS word/excel then save?

Also is the RDP protocol a good method for testing this type of response time.

My script appears to have good response time, but users are still complaining of slowness.

In your case, RDP is the best approach. But the scenario you have just tested seems to not address the biggest variable, which is connectivity from that particular remote site. Are you able to initiate your test from that specific remote location?
