What is the LoadRunner Protocol for Informatica Powercenter Application?.
I have to do Performance Testing in Informatica-Powercenter Tool. Its a ETL architecture. The front end will be Powercenter Tool and back end will be Oracle. Its a two tier architecture.
Powercenter tool and Backend will be Oracle. Can anyone tell me which protocal i have to choose to record this tool or whole architecture? appreciate your help.
What version of Performance Center/ LoadRunner that you are using now?
In Vugen 11.52, there are 3 protocols relate to Oracle: Oracle 2 Tier, Oracle Web-App11i and Oracle NCA.
You can use Protocol Advisor utility of Vugen to analyze your application to find the suitable protocol.
It shows in Record tab/ Protocol Advisor/ Analyse Application.

As ChanNguyen suggested you, you can use the protocol advisor to analyze your Application, regarding the technology you are using, some of the protocols you can use are such as: Oracle NCA, Oracle Web11i, Oracle 2 Tier, etc...
Are you using PC Host Vugen 11.52 or another version?
Another valuable information is that Vugen records TCP protocol communication, so you may need to see if the architecture has that kind of communication.
Also I realized that you have another thread opened with the same topic description, I just want to let you know that we can work better on this current thread and put as 'Accepted Solution' this one: http://h30499.www3.hp.com/t5/Performance-Center-Support-and/What-is-the-LoadRunner-Protocol-for-Informatic-a-Powercente-r/td-p/6496996#.U44PkShQiug, we will keep working on this one.
Please let us know about the Protocol Advisor outcome and what the communication the Application Under Test is.
Thank you and REgards,
