can a Test Data file for QTP be used by Performance Center if stored in ALM

Jump to solution

We have a set of passwords that must be updated every 30 days.

We have a data file stored in ALM that we update for our QTP scripts.

Would like to use the same file for our performance scripts.

Is it possible to point the performance scripts to the ALM Test Resources module to acces this data file?

Hello.

I believe there is already a enhancement request for VuGen scripts to have access to ALM's Test Resources in order to work with libraries and others. But otherwise, a better solution would be to use VTS to manage parameter files. You can update these passwords on a centralized table and all scripts will continue to have access to it (as long as the structure isn't changed) without additional changes.
