"Failed instantiating Session Activator component" - Scheduling tests in 9.5

We just installed PC 9.5 and set up a test project. Everything works fine EXCEPT for tests that are scheduled through the Timeslots page. When we schedule a test the Run State under the in the Autostart Viewer is listed as "Did Not Run" and this error is recorded:

Failed instantiating Session Activator component.
Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {D5D7D260-5D6C-11D4-B3F0-006008CB5180} failed due to the following error: 80040154.

Does anyone know what is causing this? I would appreciate any input!

Re: "Failed instantiating Session Activator component" - Scheduling tests in 9.5

Hi LauraC,

There is some problem with such error, and all are about a DLL that is not defined to the system, like in your problem, it seem that the COM component is not registered.

Isn't there a complement to install to have this component (are all dependencies well install ?)

btw, I found this in another thread perhaps it could help you:

Thanks for the input. We couldn't figure out which dll was the issue, so we reinstalled PC last week. All is well now.
