the way to check non-english string

for example, I checked a chinese string using web_reg_find().
sometimes it works.
sometimes it does not work, but i check the response, it does appear!

where do you want to check the english string (DB level, Application level... ?) ?

Can you upload the script as attachement?

Where do you see the response? in the tree view?
Make sure that you are not looking in the recorded snapshot. May be try using the compare snapshot to be more accurate.

Because for a web_reg_find to fail/not work there are only 2 reasons, 1) The test you are looking for is not present in the response or 2) you might be looking in the wrong place(i.e you need to regester the web_reg_find(), just before the request, in whose response you would expect the string to be in).
