vugen 9.52 capture hidden dynamic URL

 Hi

I am using vugen 9.52 to record a site and try to use web_reg_save_param to get the dynamic URL, however I couldn't find any related code when I viewsource the website. May I know why it can be captured by recording the script, but cannot be view manually? Any way i can find it out so that i can use web_reg_save_param?

Below is part of the recorded script which show the dynamic URL:

web_url("request",
  "URL=https://www.xxx.com/request?p=c08b8817e582aca9f91709813b9c6045cfae3e7c7371346124763f6132988215",

Re: vugen 9.52 capture hidden dynamic URL

You want to know why you can't access the dynamically generated content manually? If the server is sending back information with particular values or sessions that can expire, that would be when correlation is needed. Catching that dynamic part will allow you to access it but by doing so through Vugen as you would have to  use some tool to capture the data coming from the server in order to access it yourself.

Manual correlation:

Re: vugen 9.52 capture hidden dynamic URL

Thanks Mario

i had a try on using "web_reg_save_param" as per suggested, however i couldnt locate the request URL from the website, seems it is hidden/encrypted due to client facing website.

So that i dont know what should i put for the LB and RB. . .

in this case, can i still use the manual correlation to capture the request URL?

Re: vugen 9.52 capture hidden dynamic URL

You cannot capture requests, you can only capture responses with correlation. Those responses will have the dynamic urls, if you check the Manual Correlation link I left, that explains in great detail.
