vugen crashes

LoadRunner 9.5 is installed
On try to generate C based script vugen crashes on about 60-70% with error "Faulting application vugen.exe, version 9.50.0.3210, faulting module msvcr80.dll, version 8.0.50727,1433, fault address 0x00008aa0"

Can someone advise me what to do with this?

Re: vugen crashes

which protocol are you using?

I am guessing VUGen conflicting with some MS applications...

Visual Studio 2005 or SQL Server 2008 or Visual Studio remote debugger installed

See this fix:

Re: vugen crashes

I had earlier nearly same error, but it came when you tried to look paramiten tab.

vugen.exe caused an EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION in module MFC80.DLL at 001B:7821C0F3

Solution for this was to register dll from command prompt or by doing as followed:

Please re-register Vegan's dll, the steps are:

1. Disable temporarily the anti-virus software.
2. Open Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and highlight 'HP LoadRunner' in the program's list
3.Click on the button
4.Select the 'Modify' radio button and follow the onscreen instructions

This came from HP support, hopefully this helps

Re: vugen crashes

check if this helps.

try to record the application, just to check if VUGen is not the culprit here.

Tools->Recording Option->Advanced

Check "Record script using earlier record engine".
